An aged married couple discovered themselves locked in a fierce, cussed argument. He thought-about it a petty disagreement; she thought-about it an absolute declaration of battle.
Neither of them was prepared to budge, and hours handed in icy silence as a result of neither would ever admit to being fallacious. Lastly, on the lookout for a breakthrough, the spouse turned to her husband with a critical expression and mentioned, “Look, I’m bored with combating. I’ll inform you what—I’ll admit that I’m fallacious, however provided that you instantly admit that I used to be proper.”
The husband considered it for a second, smiled on the seemingly truthful compromise, and agreed. “Fantastic, it’s a deal.”
The spouse took a deep, dramatic breath, seemed him lifeless within the eye, and confessed, “I’m fallacious.”
The husband grinned triumphantly, leaned again in his chair, and replied:
“You’re proper.”
