One Sunday morning, a minister ended his sermon with a particular task for the congregation.
He smiled and mentioned,
“Subsequent week I’ll be preaching concerning the sin of mendacity. That can assist you put together, I’d like everybody to learn Mark, Chapter 17.”
The congregation nodded politely, and everybody headed residence.
The next Sunday, the minister stepped again to the pulpit with a smile.
He seemed throughout the packed church and requested,
“Now then… who learn Mark, Chapter 17 like I requested?”
With out hesitation…
Each hand within the church shot into the air.
The minister paused, smiled even wider, and mentioned,
“That’s precisely what I assumed.”
The room fell silent.
Then he delivered the punchline:
“The E-book of Mark solely has 16 chapters.”
He folded his fingers and added,
“Now… let’s start at the moment’s sermon on the sin of mendacity.” 😂
