A weary trucker pushed open the door of a roadside café, the scent of recent espresso and scorching bacon welcoming him like an outdated good friend.
He stomped the mud from his boots, took a seat on the counter, and glanced on the perky new waitress—a blonde with an keen smile and a notepad on the learn
